The hotel is situated in a remote and quiet area surrounded by beautiful scenery. the traditional room with tatami mats and sliding doors was quite spacious and comfortable. the hotel provides a private onsen, and the outdoor shower was an added bonus. the staff was friendly and welcoming, and the meals were cooked to perfection.
The check-in process could have been smoother and more organized.

I had an absolutely delightful stay at this luxurious 4-star hotel. The service here is truly exceptional. Upon arrival, I was greeted with a refreshing local citrus drink and was comfortably seated at a beautiful counter table with a stunning view of the river. The check-in process was smooth and hassle-free. The reception area, made of solid Sabi Ishi stone, was simple yet clean and neat. I also appreciated the attention to detail, like the stylish and secure slippers provided. Walking up the stairs was a breeze, without any worry of slipping. the service here is heartfelt and not just from a rule book.
This hotel is the perfect escape for a romantic getaway. They offer private parking, although it can be quite tight due to the high number of guests driving.

Located in the midst of bountiful nature, this hotel offers a tranquil hideaway with amazing views. The minimalist design of the rooms won us over, and the traditional tatami mats and low tables were a unique touch. the staff were attentive and welcoming.
The onsen closes an hour before checkout, giving shorter access to the experience. while the breakfast offered was delectable, the price for the meal was steep.

Spent a lovely Christmas in a small, intimate ryokan nestled in the mountains. the private onsen in the room was a definite highlight, as was the traditional yukata provided for walking around the facility. the food was expertly prepared and served in multiple courses, showcasing the local and seasonal ingredients. the location offered stunning views of the surrounding scenery and was conveniently located just a short drive from the nearby train station and popular attractions.
